Shop Assistant (Part Time Seasonal)

White River Growpro is a family-owned gardening store that specializes in supporting cannabis growers of all sizes. We are looking for a part time Shop Assistant to help out 1-2 days a week (flexible based on your schedule). This is the perfect position for a gardening enthusiast looking to supplement their income and access our generous employee discount program. This position is all about keeping us running and is heavily cleaning focused. As you can imagine, we have a very dusty store, and it takes a lot of work to keep everything neat and tidy.

Duties include general store upkeep such as cleaning, bagging Growpro Nutrients, stocking shelves, counting inventory, loading soil into customer vehicles, ringing out customers when sales staff are busy, and other project work as assigned. This is an on your feet position that requires a lot of bending and the ability to lift 60 lbs regularly throughout the day. 1-2 days a week, flexible, though weekend help is preferred. Total hours will be 6-14 per week depending on schedule chosen.

This is a $15/hour position with opportunity to grow with the company for the right minded individual. This position is being offered as part time seasonal (through September), though it could transition to permanent part time or full-time work as our company continues to grow. White River Growpro is in the process of an expansion, and this is an exciting time to join our staff. We anticipate being in our new larger location by the end of 2022. As Vermont starts its legal tax and regulated cannabis market in 2022, we are well poised to support growers of all sizes.
